Impact50 Film Wins Awards… Congratulations to Rebecca Hardy and her team and screenwriter Dee Chilton

One Last Outro was directed by Rebecca Hardy and stars Grace Dixon (Cruel Summer, DisPossess) and Luca Malacrino (Coronation Street, Greys Anatomy) and was shot in Wales.

The story focuses on broadcaster Claire Jones who decides to spent her final moments alive on air, until an asteroid blast kills her signal and the rest of the world with it.

“Dee’s brilliant script enabled us to create a poignant, singular moment in an overall dramatic story arc. I was delighted to work with Dee, Grace, Luca and the supporting cast who all really invested in bringing this moment to life. We’re proud the film was made by female filmmakers and filmed and produced in Wales”.

The Accolade recognizes film, television, videography and new media professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change. Entries are judged by highly qualified professionals in the film and television industry.

In winning an Accolade, the team behind One Last Outro joins the ranks of other high-profile winners of this internationally respected award including the Oscar winning production of The Lady in Number Six by Malcolm Clarke, the very talented Dave Bossert of Disney for his short documentary, The Tunes Behind The Toons, Hollywood industry veteran Ron Howard for When You Find Me and Highwire Films Australia for their popular ABC TV series twenty something.

Rick Prickett, who chairs The Accolade Global Film Competition, had this to say about the latest winners, “The Accolade is not an easy award to win. Entries are received from around the world from powerhouse companies to remarkable new talent. The Accolade helps set the standard for craft and creativity. The judges were pleased with the exceptional high quality of entries. The goal of The Accolade is to help winners achieve the recognition they deserve.”

The film has also been selected for Carmarthen Bay Film Festival (CBFF) which takes place 27-30 May in Llanelli. This will be the films premiere screening, a befitting first festival as CBFF prides itself on championing female filmmakers and uses the F rating to support and highlight films written/directed by women.
